Most of the people I've worked with for the past 6 years were laid off at the end of January, and the rest quit. I'm now the last one left from my office, so I'm working from home. Mainly, I quilt and do free motion embroidery. Occasionally I might even sew something. Just to show that I can use my machine to some degree of competence, here is a snowflake I made: SNOWFLAKE This snowflake was designed using my Pfaff, the stitches 158, 89, and the free download from the Pfaff site. Another way I fill my days is by learning to digitize designs for the sewing machine. It has also increased my vocabulary but the words I have learned cannot be printed here. I have a Macintosh and the Pfaff software is fairly easy to use. 		Quilt Block Patterns ^Votes:0 Quilt Block Patterns Last updated January 28, 1997. Just a couple of words of warning! First, I worked these patterns out to use in a sampler quilt; therefore, although the patterns for four-patch and nine-patch blocks are for 12 inch blocks, the patterns for five-patch blocks are actually 11 7/8 inch blocks, and the seven-patch blocks work out to 12 1/4 inches (I didn't want to use anything smaller than 1/8 inch in figuring the measurements). I don't find that easing that amount is too hard, and I think the difficulty is more than compensated by my being able to include a wider range of blocks in my quilts. OTOH, I'm not the most precise machine-piecer in the world and easing doesn't bother me much--if you are more accurate than I am (which is not unlikely :)) you might not like the not-q Read More Go to Site
