Votes:0 Suse MacDonald's Books About Suse I can't remember when I first knew I was an artist but by the time I entered college, I knew that art would be the focus of my life. In college the courses offered were in the fine arts. Commercial art was looked down upon: a waste of one's talents. I didn't question, I just took courses: life drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics. I even made sculptures out of car parts. Nothing felt quite right. I knew I was an artist, but where did I fit? After college, I married. My husband Stuart and I settled in New York City. I illustrated science text books and had a wonderful time. The studio where I worked had thirty artists, photographers, draftsmen, and even typesetters (This was before computers). I learned about and became fascinated by the commercial side Read More Go to Site

Votes:0 Jack London - his life and books "I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time" Jack London (1876 - 1916) Jack London Jack London fought his way up out of the factories and waterfront dives of West Oakland to become the highest paid, most popular novelist and short story writer of his day.
