We spent 2 weeks in Laos, because at that time they only handed out visa for that period. It's possible to see a lot of the country in those two weeks. We crossed the Thai-Lao border at Chiang Kong (North-Thailand) and from there we came down the Mekong in a speedboat. Starting from Huay Xai, through Pakbeng and all the way to Luang Prabang. We spent a couple of days in Luang Prabang and then we flew to Vientiane. From there we went further south to Savannakhet and Pakse. We also visited Paksong and Wat Phu in Champasak.
