We spent 2 weeks in Laos, because at that time they only handed out visa for that period. It's possible to see a lot of the country in those two weeks. We crossed the Thai-Lao border at Chiang Kong (North-Thailand) and from there we came down the Mekong in a speedboat. Starting from Huay Xai, through Pakbeng and all the way to Luang Prabang.
